Valeriana officinalis

Valeriana officinalis (Valerian) produces large panicles of small white to lavendar flowers that will perfume your garden. It reaches a height of 6 feet or more with a spread of 12 inches. It is not picky about growing conditions. Valerian sows seed liberally so either deadhead or remove seedlings when they are small. It forms dense root mats that will interfere with other plants.
