Actea rubra

Actea rubra (Red Baneberry) is a beautiful herbaceous shrub with delicate white flowers, bright red berries, and beautiful glossy foliage. It will grow in sun in cool climates but prefers part shade to shade in warmer areas. It reaches a height of 18 inches. The berries are poisonous. This plant prefers shade but in interior Alaska it also grows well in sun.
