Mertensia paniculata

Mertensia paniculata (Tall Bluebells) has lavender buds and blooms with a combination of blue and lavender on the same plant. It is a favorite of pollinators including bumble bees and butterflies. It is native in the Fairbanks area and most other parts of Alaska. It grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches and tolerates moist or dry conditions.
